D-8-1 Visa Dispatch
D-8-1 Visa can be divided into two types in which individual investors transfer more than 100 million won to establish a Korean corporation, and an overseas corporation invest more than 100 million won to establish a foreign investment corporation and then dispatch essential personnel such as CEO, executives, and experts to the corporation.
Conditions of D-8-1 Visa Dispatch
1. One person can be dispatched for every 100 million won invested.
2. One additional person can be dispatched when 3 Korean employees are retained for more than 6 months.
3. The number of people who can be dispatched is limited to essential personnel such as CEO, executives, and experts.
4. It is easy for a dispatcher to obtain a visa if he/she is an executive.
5. An expert is defined as a person who has professional experience and knowledge in research, design, and management of a company so you need to prove this to obtain a dispatch visa.
Differences between D-8 Visa and D-7 Visa
D-7 visa is for overseas headquarters to set up a branch in Korea to dispatch expatriates. If you have a foreign company domestic branch establishment report, you can apply for a D-7 visa and if you have a foreign-invested company registration certificate, you can apply for a D-8 visa.
